I signed up for WeVideo about a year ago for my daughter's school work. They sent me an email saying they were gonna renew my subscription in April. I tried to cancel it right away, but the button didn't work. I tried calling them, but they don't have anyone to answer the phone. You gotta use the answering machine and tell them why you're calling. Or you can email them, but they take forever to respond and charge you for another year. Now that I finally canceled it, they're saying I still gotta pay for the whole year. Don't waste your money on this service or they'll play you like they're playing everyone else. Make sure to leave a review and file a complaint so they learn their lesson and stop being so shady.

WeVideo is a video editing website that can be used without downloading anything else. It's pretty easy to use, but there are some drawbacks. It has a variety of sound effects, text options, backgrounds, music tracks, and the ability to add various tracks to be able to stack the videos on, edit how small/big and location each track is on the screen.

You can create different projects to organize the kinds of videos you make. I have my personal projects, classroom read alouds, and virtual lessons in their own projects. When I upload them to Google Drive, it sends them all into a specific WeVideo folder and I can move it from there to where I want it within my Drive.

There are a few downsides I've found, but they're not worth ditching the program for. Some of the offered backgrounds/music tracks are only available through certain plans, so if you search for a certain background and use it, you may unknowingly end up without it in your final product because you haven't paid for that plan. The other downside is that it seems to take a while to process the videos (importing and exporting). But again, it's not worth avoiding the program for. Overall, I'd recommend WeVideo for anyone looking for an easy-to-use video editing program.

There's no way to select a specific portion of the audio line, so you have to split the entire video in half twice and delete the audio in the middle. And when you delete the audio, the images just disappear too.

But I will say this: the title slides are decent. That's the only good thing about WeVideo.

My 10year old boy subscribed for a trial himself. He used it once before the trial ends. It has never been used by us. I didnt know that they have been taking money continuously.This company took my money for three months without sending notification at all.
