I had no issue with them originally, but after getting a diagnosis that needs medication in a timely manner, they denied it due to "not having tried anything else". I've only had the diagnosis for 2 weeks. After a 30 min phone call of filing an appeal and getting the list of "alternatives" that they would cover, I took additional time to see what other companies cover. There are other fish in the sea and I am happy to have another company cover the drug my doctor and I want rather than waste time satisfying a bean counter at Wellcare.
Recommendation: Go elsewhere for coverage
