I bought my vehicle from VW Hatfield Pretoria, South Africa and got delievered to me on the 6 November 2021. The same day I took the vehicle for a test drive and the Front Assist error light came on. I phoned Vincent Badenhorst (Senior Salemen VW Hatfield Pretoria)immediately and he said that I should bring the vehicle up to Pretoria and he will sort it out. Vincent refused to help me further. I took it to VW Umhlanga and they charged me R5700 to replace the senor. On the 08 April 2022 I booked the vehicle in for its 45 000km Service. After servicing the vehicle Shaun (Service Advisor at VW Umhlanga, Durban) called me and said that the vehicle needs a new water pump and it cost around R22 000 and it will be covered. After minutes later he called back and said that it will not be covered because the system picked up that Engine has been modified on the 20 October 2021 (before I could purchase the Vehicle) and because of this, the warranty will not cover it. I went and saw Shaun. We tried to communicate with Vincent , Shaun sent through proof of the vehicle having a Engine Modification tuning done (TD-1 Engine ECM Modification done Tuning) . Vincent told me that VW Umhlanga does not know what they are doing. He and the Management went through everything and nothing has been flagged on his side. He was not willing to go further with this. He then told me that if the vehicle was within the 6 month period he was willing to help me. I then mentioned to him that the vehicle is only 5 months purchased. He quickly changed his tune and said only if the vehicle had a problem within the week the dealership was willing to help. After a while, Shaun said that the vehicle was safe to drive and when this issue with Vincent is sorted out I must bring the vehicle back to him.

Hours later as I was driving the vehicle on the N2 South bound with my sister in the car, the EPC light came on and I was unable to accelerate and I could get the smell of smoke coming from the air vent. I immediately pulled over onto the yellow lane. I opened the bonnet and I saw a flame- I asked my sister to jump out. Immediately the front of the car starting burning. In minutes Car track contacted me and they notified all relevant emergence personnel - The SAPS, Fire department and Ambulance was on site.

Desired outcome: I want a full refund of all the monies paid to VW Hatfield.
