I purchased a bag from vonbaer bags #vonbaer @vonbaer that arrived with clear and unacceptable defects. Photos were taken immediately upon unboxing and shared with customer support. They sent me a replacement bag, but unfortunately, it also had visible issues — including problems with the leather and metal parts.
The defects, especially in the metal components, were clearly manufacturing-related, not due to misuse. However, the support team seemed reluctant to acknowledge this, which made the situation more frustrating.
It has now been over two weeks since I started trying to return the second bag, and the issue is still unresolved. I was told that videos exist showing the bag in perfect condition before shipping, but none were shared with me. Instead, I received only some photos from them — a few images of the packaging and just one distant photo of the bag, where the defects are impossible to see.
Responses have been slow and filled with lengthy explanations about "quality control" that do not reflect the actual condition of the products I received.
While the first bag was in worse condition, that doesn't make the second acceptable — it was still of poor quality. Given the high price, it would have been easy to purchase a better-quality bag elsewhere for much less.
This entire experience has been exhausting and disappointing. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions.
