Visa Prepaid Gift Balance review: Unable to access funds

A family member of mine happened to purchase a 100 visa gift card from kroger. When she decided to use it, it was denied until activated online. Multiple attempts were made to activate the card online and every time after we entered the card information an error would pop up and tell us to call. I have made multiple calls every day for a month. When I call they request the 16 digit card number and 3 digit pin. Once done I am immediately transferred to what they call customer service and when I automatically transferred there I receive an automatic recording stating they are dealing with an unusually high call volume then disconnect. It doesn’t matter what time I call it is the exact same scenario. I have never spoken to anyone because it’s system hangs up on me. People need to be aware of what they are doing.
