I visited the 6th Avenue Goodwill in Tacoma WA on 11/07/2020 and purchased several items for my daughter (totaling roughly 85 dollars), one of which we did not end up having a use for so I attempted to return this pair of pants today 11/13/2020 (within the allowed 7 day timeframe). On 11/07/20 we were checked out by cashier Leviticus at check stand one. He apparently made an error in the dollar amount for which I was charged. This meant that on 11/13/20 the store refused to reimburse for even a portion of what I'd paid, or allow me to exchange for a similarly priced item. I am told the woman I spoke with was a manager by the name of Tammy, who was above and beyond rude suggesting that I had never paid for this item at all. And this response was gone about in such a way that suggested she thought I was a thief. After listening to another customer service rep state that this had happened in the past to other customers, I stated to her what horribly poor customer service it is to not take any responsibility for her staffs error, and to not find a compromise with her customer for this 5 dollar item. She again refused to make any sort of compromise and was overall rude enough to deter me from shopping with or donating to Goodwill in the future. It is my hope that she will receive additional training to aid her people skill if nothing else. I feel very taken advantage of in regard to this experience with her, and find it difficult to believe there would be no other outcome available for this situation. I am honestly blown away by how many people this may have happened to at this store, myself included.
