Bluegreen Vacations should not be allowed to enter into contracts that cannot EVER be exited. Not only can we not get out of our contract while we are alive, we can't get out of it after we die! They will come after our children. That, in itself, is a dishonest business practice. No contract should be legally binding on anyone but the person who signed the contract. It has not been easy for us to use our points each year and if we don't, we have to pay more money just to carry our points over to the next year. They told us during the sales pitch that we could never vacation this cheaply on our own. HA! That was a lie. I pay more to Bluegreen in maintenance fees than I pay for a weeks stay at a very nice hotel. I pay the maintenance fees every year, even though I only get points added on every other year. Ridiculous! The day we signed the contract was a nightmare for me. What was supposed to be an 1 1/2 presentation turned into an 8 hour ordeal that wore me down. I was tired and hungry and ended up giving in just so I could leave and get something to eat. The pressure was awful. I will soon be retiring and living on a fixed income. I no longer wish to pay money for something that I rarely use.
Desired outcome: I want out of this contract ASAP!
