I have found a tenant who is taking over my lease. But they are still charging me $500 which was not mentioned in my original signed agreement. I dont think I should be charge, as this is also against the law. I have paid all rent and also new tenant paid the rent and application fees.

If you paid all the rent owed under the lease in one lump sum, the landlord should not be allowed to charge you a reletting fee. But if you moved out early, the landlord probably has the right under the lease to charge you a reletting fee, so long as the fee is reasonably related to the landlord's costs in securing a new tenant.’
