Regus - Regus agreement extension: Regus Arlington, VA
So I have signed a 12 month lease with Regus last year. having used Regus before, I told the sales specialist (Sajid Amin) that I will be only taking 12 month contract, without further renewal or whatsoever.
in June Regus sent me an email asking me asking if I would like to "Extend" the contract to another 6 months or 24 months or no renewal at all. the wording says I will have to pay another batch of renewal deposit to regus and I wont be able to claim it back once the RENEWED process has been there. the renewal starts on Oct 1st.
then I had my application with Virginia SCC denied. I therefore no other reason to be there so I need to opt out of the lease. Regus now saying the contract has been renewed because I didnt inform them the termination. it was NOT like that and I have already informed them LONG before this deadline saying I wont renew.
Desired outcome: cancel the extension period of rental (Oct 1st 2021 to Sep 30 2023), return my deposit back in full.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.

We take renewals very seriously and ensure that the process, which is very simple, is communicated to customers upfront.
Prior to any renewal, our customers receive courtesy email reminders. According to our history, you received this email on June 9th, with detailed information on prices, terms and the option of ending the agreement if you no longer require our services.
This was sent to the email address we have on file, which you can review and amend at any time by logging in to your account online.
Once your agreement with us has been renewed, we’ll also confirm it via email.
You can check these emails in the Account > Documents section of your online account.
You signed a business agreement with us, which represents a formal commitment. Please understand that we cannot cancel agreements and some advanced warning is necessary should you wish to end with us.
Ending your contract is a simple process, which you should confirm through your online account (“Account” section). Your termination will be confirmed shortly after by email.
