Baymont Inn & Suites - Partial or full refund and force this location to accept reservation quotes made by phone through legitimate wyndham operators.

Reserved room (a 2 room Suite) on Friday Aug 4 2023, for Saturday Aug 5th for one night (we had to get out of house due to AC failure, outside temp. around 108 degrees). Price was presented as approx. $147 (after taxes/fees & pet deposit). Upon arrival the staff changed the price to $20 per pet, AND forced me to add a second booking/room for # of pets (they said I needed 2 rooms) > when the suite that I booked HAD two rooms already. This was NOT presented when I made the reservation. This drove the price of the originally booked room to $ 180.67, AND adding a second room (that I didn't want or need) for another $147.64. THEN they added ANOTHER deposit of $200 for being "local", not out of town. My original booking for around $147 became $ 328.21! NEEDLESS to say : Very unhappy, & as it being after 4 PM, I could not cancel the first room after they changed the price. AND, when we got to the room, the shower drain would NOT stay open (we had to jam a bar of soap under it to keep it from filling up during showers). There was no ice machine available, and even IF I had trays to make ice, the refrigerator was frozen over, so could not be used to make ice (outside temperature, was well over 100 degrees). They claim any reservation not made by calling their location specifically is subject to change & they do not have to honor that. The Number I called had a local area code (940) and when I asked her if she was IN Wichita Falls, she said yes. (I wanted to make sure I wasn't talking to someone in another state or a call center located outside U.S.). I want a full refund for the Second room (That I didn't want/need OR even USE. We never entered the second room.) And $20 refunded from the first room price. If they do not have to honor reservation quotes by Wyndham, WHY are they in your family of hotels? PLEASE respond. Yes I am a Wyndham resorts Reward member, BUT, this may put me off of them - permanently. I have an Itemized copy of my billing from this visit, if needed.
