We had to get a hotel at the last minute as we had some sewer issues. We picked this one due to the price and also that it was pet friendly. So, on Oct. 21st and 22nd we stayed at the Litchfield, IL one. Everything seemed fine at first. Then my boyfriend went back to the room with some stuff before we left and got up there and his card wouldn't work. So he had to take all the stuff back down and get the card corrected. This happened a total of 3 different times!. Each time we had to carry stuff down to the front desk so no one could possibly steal our stuff! When it happened the 2nd time, I told the front desk clerk and they never said a word - no apology, no nothing. Just handed the refreshed card back. It was totally ridiculous and uncalled for.
Then when the charges went through my banking, I also had a charge of $33 extra dollars on my account. When I called the hotel and asked what the charge was for-they proceeded to tell me that it was because I brought pets. I had NO CLUE that I was gonna be charged extra for that. I told them that it didn't say anything on the website and they say no it doesn't but the person at the front desk should of told you when you checked in. Well, guess what? They didn't. Otherwise, we would NOT have stayed there. Overally disappointed and will not go there again.
Desired outcome: I feel like we should at least get refunded the $33 for the pet charge (plus put on website and free night due to room card issues
