On May 13, 2023, we took our dog for our semi annual blood and fecal test to ensure everything was ok. We pay Banfield Hospital a monthly fee and this service was included. We rely heavily on the vet's opinions and each time we ask how are the results showing and each time we were told his results were fine. In fact, the overall results were "good" according to the vet. We put down our dog two days ago who passed from Lymphoma cancer. We went back to his blood work in May 2023 discovering that his hemoglobin, lymphocytes, and neutrophil tests were not normal. We have soon discovered that lymphcyte test is an indicator of cancer. We were never once told by Banfield that further investigation was required. They took our money and were not diligent in informing us that there was issues with the blood work. They simply did not act in good faith or a good duty of care. We are not vet's and an owner should not have to investigate what the blood tests mean. We pay and rely on the opinion of experts to give us peace of mind that our pets are healthy. We are grieving the loss of our family member which has been tough and all this could have been avoided and we could have given our pet a chance of chemo. We are frankly disgusted that Banfield would place dollars over care. In future, we will not rely on what vets are telling us and do our own investigation which is deplorable. What has the world come to when you cannot trust the experts.
Desired outcome: An investigation into what happened
