Ross Dress for Less - Long wait - ONE employee on register

3/10/22 - Euless, TX - ROSS Store

Long wait in line while one guy checked out both the purchases and the returns. At least three other employees were moving around the store, but no one was available to check out customers except the one guy. (I should have dropped the items and just left!)

Check out guy seemed oblivious to the ridiculous wait. Was pretty steamed when I got to my car, and called to speak with the manager. Wanted to know why none of the other employees could help clear the line. (The grocery store does it ALL the time.)

Called and got transferred to the manager, then she “wait one sec” and some other lady came in the phone, so identification of who she was. (Unprofessional!) The second “manager” said hey had a truck coming in and all the other staff was busy dealing with that. TRANSLATION: We don’t care that you are waiting in line a long time. Our business model is built in not caring that you have to stand there a long time!

Gets worse! After she gave the super lame explanation she asked what race had to do with it. WHAT!?!?!? I said that I never mentioned race…I had said ONE GUY not “ white guy!” She said “well that’s what I heard.” YOU HEARd WRONG, lady!

Returned everything I bought at another location, and will not set foot in another ROSS. Happy to pay more to companies that understand BASIC customer service.

Desired outcome: APOLOGY from the company for the rude manager who has no issues with customers - 5 of them- standing and waiting while one guy does all the checking out.

Ross Dress for Less - Returns

On 03/01/2020 around 9:00pm security raymon started a fight/arugment with me about a toy that was missing a piece for the price of $12.99. He got in my face and told me that I could not return the item with a receipt. I never in my life been treated with so much disrepect. Whe did security became the manager, assaulted me in front of customers. Who does that?

On 03/01/2020 around 9:00pm SECURITY Raymon started a fight/arugment with me about a toy that had a missing piece for the price of $12.99. He got in my face and told me that I could not return the item with a receipt. I never in my life been treated with so much disrepect. When did security became the manager? I FELT ASSAULTED. AND HE YELLING AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS AT ME IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS. WHO DOES THAT? One of the other associate T male had to come between the security Raymon and me.if this security Raymon is what REPRESENT ROSS, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
