Walgreens - Pharmacist

3/24/20 my dr electronically sent my adderall and my antidepressant Rx to the Walgreens on Matlock and Green Oaks in Arlington Texas. Same pharmacy I've been getting it at for years. I didn't need it yet but thought with this coronavirus I'd better request early in just in case. I was due to run out on the 31st. I happened to check the app to see if it was received and didn't see it so I called the pharmacy. I was told it was in my file and I could pick it up the 30th. At that time, the 30th was fine. four days later, I wasn't feeling well and my vehicle had something wrong with. I couldn't drive it and had planned to get it in to have it fixed the following Monday. On 3/29 I called the pharmacy and explained my situation and that I had someone who could pick it up for me that day otherwise I wouldn't have a way to get it that week. This was 2 days before I was due to run out and not only would they not accommodate me even though their policy is 3 days early, they lied to me at first and said it was an insurance issue, and then that I had picked it up early several times which was also a lie, and basically told me they would not give it to me until the next day. I called my insurance and they said there was no reason it shouldn't go through and that I shouldn't have to call, the pharmacy should call. I spent all day Sunday the 29th dealing with this and got treated like I was doing something wrong. I should note that the first pharmacist I talked to was the same one who a year earlier gave me problems when I dropped off my script citing "he didn't like the way it was written" and wouldn't fill it. Didn't like the way it was written? It was written the same as always and by the way, I didn't write it. I had to fight him to get filled. The doctor wasn't going to write it any differently if I had to get another one and since when does a pharmacist have any say in the way a script is written. He's not a doctor after all. Baffled! Anyway, I contacted everyone I could to get this resolved with no success and basically, they put me through hell never giving me an honest answer as to why they would let me pick it up. They didn't care that I was ill (coronavirus anyone) or if I came to pick it up, as long as it was the next day. Even suggested I uber since I couldn't drive my vehicle. I'm 62 and one of those "vulnerable" people they claim to care so much about and urge to stay home during this pandemic. I have stayed at home and have gone out very little unless absolutely necessary. As far as accusing me of picking up early several times in the past, I told the second pharmacist, 6 hours later, to tell me the last time ii picked up early and she started to tell me that back in 2018 I picked up early and I cut her off by saying 2018? Two years ago? Really? And so what? If their policy is no more than 3 days early, so what? This time it's two days early and under stressful and special circumstances. They do not care about this coronavirus or their customers welfare. I'm screwed at this point. It's 4:30 am now and I haven't been able to sleep because of this. I don't expect them to care if they read these reviews but at least I can warn others about Walgreens BS. I am more angry at the bold face lies and refusing to give me a legitimate reason than I am about the Rx.
