Rural King

Early in 2021, I was shopping in rural king of Morristown, TN. I was preparing for camping trip that would last several weeks. The group had decided to keep things as basic as possible. Phones were for emergency only, no power tool or anything electric to assist us with the exception of flash lights and headlamps. I had went to rural king to purchase items like a hatch, Paracord, tarps, ect. At the time I had to consider other items I would need to purchase as well so I took my time in picking out the items I was going to purchase, and in doing this I had to switch some items for the cheaper option. A few items I had picked up I ended up putting back, if I knew I could do without or if it was something I could borrow from someone when we got to the camping spot. So after long deliberation and carefully selecting my items, I proceeded to checkout and purchased my items, I ended up spending around $90. After I purchased my items and was walking out the door 2 police officers stopped me at the door and proceeded to search me. After checking all my pockets and my bags, they store manager kept saying they wanted to press charges and that I was stealing. Off of her words alone I was arrested on the spot and taken to jail. On the police report it stated that the value of items recovered was $0. I still don't understand why or how that was allowed to happen but now I have a upcoming court date. I had to pay almost $200 to bond out. And the $90 worth of items I purchased I never seen again. I should add I'm 33 slim athletic build, with a long haired hippie look. I do look like I smoke weed, which I did when I was in my 20s, but I don't do any drugs and only drink socially. How they were able to do that blows my mind. The didn't find anything on me and still I was arrested.
