I just rented a car from Dollar at TYS. The counter agent told me unless I could show proof of my personal car insurance I was required to pay for Dollars’ insurance.
As I was in a hurry and had already waited at the counter for half an hour, and I did not have access to a copy of my policy, I paid the “required” insurance.
In looking at the Dollar website, there is NO language requiring proof of insurance, nor was there any fine print in my reservation.
Please provide me with a link to this policy.
This is the first time I have tried Dollar. In the past 40+ years, I have rented from Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, Budget and National without any issues. I hope this can be resolved amicably.
