Turkey Hill Dairy

Today, at around 10:35am, I entered the store at 63rd and Derry streets, Harrisburg PA 17111. I walked in and noticed the light skinned, heavy set, young black woman, hunched over the front counter. That's how I was greeted. No hello or good morning, so I said hello, good morning and asked, "may I please have 4 packs of cigarettes. While ringing me up for the smokes, she asked if that was all? I respond with and hand gestured to the register and replied, that's it for this, but I'd also like that $10 scratch off, and proceeded to hand her a $10 bill, thinking, two separate transactions, as I've just completed one. She totaled me up, I slud my credit card in, DECLINED. She said I needed to use Debit because of the scratch off. I said I already paid for the scratch off. She then continued to say that I did not inform her that it was separate transaction and now there's nothing she can do So I said I'm not sure what to do And she said you Hear me There's nothing I can do and I said I don't know what to do And then she said you're not hearing me and proceeded to walk away And I'll hop and puff Period at this time two other Ladies can't do my rescue And quickly We're able to Do something with the register and ring me out with credit card and I was on my way. I've been getting my gas and cigarettes here for SIX YEARS NOW, First Time I was EVER treated like this. I am in customer service for over 30 years. You never tell someone there's nothing you can do, and you can never be rude, as the customer is always right.. even if they are not. Stay calm, get assistance and make the customer smile. I guess I will have to get my gas and cigarettes down the other way on Derry Street at Rutter's
