This is elena, former employee of store #12388 in OK filing a complaint for wrongful termination. My hire date was November 18, 2023 in Foyil OK when I met with the manager Connie. I was not to start work until Tuesday 21, 2023. Connie advised me to not do what the team lead says because it will be wrong and she did not want her working there. I was called in to work that Monday and worked about 5 hours with no issues. I got called in to work Tuesday 21 and worked about 6 hours with no issues. Worked my scheduled shift Wednesday from 4:00 to close (around 11:30) with no issues. Worked 12:00 to 4:00 on Thursday the 23rd with again nothing addressed about my performance or anything else. I was off on Friday the 25th and scheduled for 4:00 to close on Saturday the 26th which I promptly showed up for. The manager, Connie, talked to me before I clocked in and said they had to let me go because one of the team members went to Connie's manager and claimed I smelled of alcohol. I have never drank on the job or before going to work. I was appalled and shocked to hear these unsubstantiated, unfounded, false accusations as this was a very significant claim based on nothing but heresay from another teammate. There are many other improper actions I witnessed firsthand while I was there, including but not limited to; team members leaving open snacks on the shelves, boxes and foot stools left in the aisles (one customer almost tripped on one), team members not applying first in, first out standard of business.
