This is a letter that I gave to the manager at the Dollar General Store that is my neighborhood Dollar General that I have been going to for years, but this particular so called manager has a lot to learn about customer service. Here is the letter:

ATTN: STORE MANAGER/SUPERVISOR
Dear STORE MANAGER/SUPERVISOR:
I have a complaint about an employee at the store referenced above. This woman who worked Saturday morning, May 29, 2021 accosted me when I was finally able to check out because I was visibly angered. I was angered because the 2 other people in front of me this particular cashier thought it was cute to chat with these 2 women for over 15 mins each while the line behind me continued to get longer and longer. I had 2 items. The 2 women in front of me, the 1 was nearly done and the other right in front of me had 2 or 3 items only, but the cashier who thought it would be funny to let people wait while she went on and on with these women about her kids, their kids, their parents, their boyfriends, girlfriends, etc. In other words instead of doing her job as a cashier she has turned that place into her own little gossip ring. She is too familiar with people. I have observed this same cashier do the same in the past, so when I stepped up to that register to check out and heard this same cashier's mouth going a mile a minute I knew once again I would have to wait unnecessarily while she got all of her conversation out with these women. May I suggest that she try a career in Social Work or bartending because she is a terrible cashier. She is too familiar with people who just want to pay for their items and go. I am making this complaint to you as well as to your corporate offices in Tennessee.
I would appreciate someone getting back to me because I am livid about this particular cashier asking me 'What is your problem' after I waited a half hour to buy 2 items. If I wasn't in a hurry I would've just left but people do have lives and this cashier doesn't seem to understand that not everyone wants to hear about her private life. She talks way too much. Someone needs to remind her that that is a place of business and not her backyard gossiping fence. Again, I have observed this same woman talking and talking to people like she knows them. Do not get me wrong a kind ‘hello and how are you today' is fine but this woman goes overboard and is quite personal, entirely too personal, with people who are there to get in and get out. Not everyone wants to hear about these strangers' lives.
I trust this matter will be addressed because I would hate to have to go out of my way to shop elsewhere when this particular store is right around my corner. Thank you.

I presented this letter to this so called manager at the store referenced above. However, she tore the note up, ran after me outside, threw the note at me while my kids and husband were in the car, screaming profanities in front of patrons at this small plaza. I don't know what kind of people you are employing at Dollar General but I think this woman thinks she owns the place. I want something done or I am involving the police.
Desired outcome: I want the woman fired or perhaps sent to another store. Again she acts like she owns the place and is extraordinarily rude.
You seem like a delight . Lol
99% of customers complain that a cashier is rude when they don't get "too familiar" with them as they checkout. 0.999% of have no opinions on the matter and 0.001% of the customers are like you who are annoyed by this. A cashier is 10000 times less likely to receive customer complaints when they get "too familiar" then the 1 customer who will complain. Personally I don't care about you small people with your pathetic lives so I will barely say more then your total when checking you out, but that's only because I'm so well off I can afford to retire right now. That being said I understand the cashier who worries so much about the job that they become "too familiar"
