Kroger - security issues

I've complained about the kroger security proceedures to anyone I could think of, but nothing had happened. Now that there was a double shooting at the corner of the 'southland shopping center" at the liar lounge, it made me want to remind the kroger managers about security.

The original call, 4/27/10, went in to kroger, where I spoke to the assistant manager, in regards to black college kids "hanging out" and playing, if not fighting between the entrance and the exit of the store. I have noticed this many times, despite the "no soliciting laws on the toledo revised codes and along with ohio's. I told the short, female, long haired, hispanic police officer, who did nothing, while being employed by kroger, though the city's "off duty" program. "emma, " from what I was told, should not have went near the bank, when I complained. She should have went outside. When she is in uniform, on or off duty, she has expectations to do her job, when there is a problem mentioned to her. In this case, I told her that there was horseplay outside, hence "soliciting. "

Later on, I find that uniformed kroger employees, such as a white teen male, with cornrows (Who acted ghetto) and a black teen co-worker were kidding around and smoking just outside of the entrance doors. This is not only rude to do, but is a smoking hazard for those who are ill, have asthma, or allergic to the smoke. I also think that the "smell of poverty" is so attractive to upscale custmers, for a store that has upscale prices. Maybe i'd expect this at "save-a-lot. " I would not expect this at at places like walt churchills or certainly not kroger.

On another occasion, which was also mentioned to the assistant manager, some "kids" were loitering, which made me go directly to wal*mart, skipping kroger. When I skipped this store, I noticed an officer bs'ing with the kids, from the posture. The officer had the typical black female - laughter, kidding around posture.

After compaining to kroger [protected]) , call city hall [protected]) , toledo police dept. [protected]) , etc. , the problem still persisted. Now there was a shooting at the shopping center.

Now we know that south toledo is getting more welfare clients, near the store... However, there is no excuse for bad security or even having to bear the "smell of poverty" (Aka cigarettes, swisher sweets, pipe, or pot smoke). There is no excuse and I along with others are no longer attracted to kroger, overall, no matter the location.

Kroger columbus needs to tackle this store, since they (Kroger company) manage this store. If kroger columbus does not step in, kroger cinci (Headquarters) needs to get ahold of this, or just close the store, which is preferable.

The above actions by loiterers and employees attracts crime and the wrong element. Time to clean up... It's not a union issue, so don't go there!"

Proudly said, on the same day as a fatal shooting at said location, closing the whole shopping complex. How ignorant is it topoint out facts? As a Mom and meemaw, you should look to see where the foot is, before you open your mouth.

Gesserfan... Also, all races can be ghetto, if certain races are what you choose to believe is ghetto, you are more racist than previously thought too.

Funny how you can say "white B*#ch" and not be racist. That's my whole point. Mentioning any color according to you liberals means racism. Badmouthing was not done. Loitering is loitering. You keep going on and on, without even thiking that someone was describing who the workers were, so corporate can account for those employees. However, liberals like you keep going on and, without others having a voice. You can call people colourful names, but that's not racist... the prior description is. If you didn't even mention "white B*%#h" (which I'm not even close to white), I wouldn't have a valid point. you sir, or madam, are a racist and refuse to see that. If you do not post anymore, I won't have you kicked off of here. Your language alone is cause for account dismissal. Gesserfan, it's your choice... leave meand my legit comments alone, or get kicked, as other's who did the same have... per the previous comments. Spamming and language are the reasons those othere's above comments are gone... they got kicked off.

Maybe someone needs to get a job, instead of harassing others on this site "Gesserfan." Besides, your language has allot to be desired, especially in a public forum. They may accept this 60 miles north of you, in Vancouver, but here... Maybe it's time for you to get another tat or piercing. Either that, or another teething ring. Grow up... or at least act like you are not THE socialist race card bigot.

Interesting. How racist for you to assume that I am white! And by your profile of "positive" comments on other complaints, you appear to be the one starting trouble. Especially for using inappropriate language "Gesserfan."

Maybe Nordstoms, Washinton, was rather a racist place too, since I was not there to see the "empty counter" or "thier porperty." My saying that you just want to start racist issues is just as bad you are doing. And I am making the same claim, on no evidence, just the same. Race had nothing to do with loitering. Stop being ignorant and use your brain!

Also, I noticed you never noticed "white guy with corn rows, " This shows that you just want to do nothing but start trouble, which is not accomplishing anything...but incessant "chat" postings all over this site. That's not what this site is about.

No, that was a descriptive phrase. it was not a racial phrase. Learn the difference. No reason to make others a part of being a victim, when there is no reason to make the race part of a description. You played the race card, not me. Notice you were the first one to do so? Stop being too liberal, that it destroys communities, not describes or builds communities up. It's best to not bring up the race issue, if you are not sure if it us a description. You were clearly wrong...CLEARLY. Quit nit-picking on others and maybe ask what was meant, before you look stupid. ENOUGH SAID.

I'm sure if someone said they wore red too, that would be playing the race card? That's how you are acting! How ignorant of you!

Actually, one was white. He was an employee of Kroger Co. Racism was not a factor.

Acting "poor, " loitering, smoking in customers way, TOLEDO officer not doing what she was paid (regardless of who is paying), while in uniform, general huge level of crime in the area... hence the 2 shootings in the plaza, and the lack of management concern are all at issue.

Color of skin really is not at issue. I expect the same from anyone, white, black or in between.

To play the race card is just as ignorant as you are trying to make me look.

Seriously I can't believe I just read this racist crap, you seem to have more of a problem with the fact that they are people of color who dress urban, than you do about an actual complaint. You go into great detail describing the people more so than your darned complaint. I can't believe you live In the south end and shop there and ### to Kroger over and over assuming those you are ### about are up to no good including police. Do everyone a favor and shop somewhere else maybe somewhere south of Ohio not the South end of Toledo where there are so many different races. Today's shooting had nothing to do with what your describing it was a domestic issue gone horribly wrong. I can't believe that there is still such ignorant people still out there today. I'm a proud white mother and grandmother that teaches tolerance and to help those in need and to never judge someone by what they wear, where they live or how they look. Maybe if you too a moment of your time and speak with those young teens you might get an insight to their lives maybe be a mentor reach out something other than your racial profiling you might find out they are actually good kids who knows.
