Affordablewater.us - defective products

I purchased a reverse osmosis unit from affordablewater.us in November of 2012. The purchase has been a disaster and I suggest anyone researching a web based company look elsewhere. Their customer service department is non-exisitent. In fact, they will not take tech support calls; all correspondences must be made through email. This makes trouble shooting dificult.

The unit was shipped damaged. That happens so not a big deal. But after countless emails and failed replacement parts the unit still does not work. I went to return the unit as defective today. When I requested a shipping address to return it, I was told, "This order is several months old. We do not accept back systems that have been installed. Perhaps you could sell it on EBay...You will not be credited anything for returning it. The Buyers Agreement that you agreed to will hold up if you try to dispute this with your credit card company".

I was floored they actually suggested I sell their defective merchandise on Ebay. Stay clear of these guys. They clearly do not stand behind their product and there is no tech support or owner/manager to talk with reference a problem. Buyer Beware!

There are two sides to every story. Clearly "customer service through email" and "non-existent" is a contradiction of terms/facts. When you buy something wholesale on the Internet and then misapply it to your water conditions, then you should not complain on a public forum about the experience that you yourself created. If you don't know what you are doing, then you should hire a professional.
