Good morning
I currently work at the Mc Donalds at 3279 Third Ave in the Bronx. There are times that I am not allowed to take my brake at work, my supervisor will not allow me to take my brakes. I was also informed that I am not entitled to get an employee meal, I work an 8-hour shift at this location. I was at work throwing up with a fever and when I informed my supervisor that I needed to go home she said no. According to the FDA it is stated that you are not allowed to work with food or around food when you have these symptoms, to prevent customers from getting sick. Later that day I went to urgent care and was excused from work due to me feeling ill. I showed my supervisor my doctor's letter, and now she scheduled me for two days of work, stating I do not show up for work. Every time I missed work, I gave her my doctor's The supervisors name at this location is Ana Duarte>
Desired outcome: Supervisor's at this location need to be aware of food service safety. On the Mc Donalds website it clearly states that McDonald’s employees are indeed entitled to free or discounted meals during their shifts and 30 min break.
