Hello!
My family an I are inbetween moving homes and have stayed at the La Quinta in Bohemia for about a month, but our experience has been less then great. We have 3 small children - 8, 6, and 15 months and on one of the nights our housekeeping lady was beyond livid over the "mess" that was in our room when I asked if she could change just the sheets for us. We had a few pizza boxes from the night before and food from the day that we ordered - but nothing that I asked her to clean or throw out. She kept us in the hallway for about 30 minutes to complain about the mess and said she was getting management etc to show them. I never saw management come up or anything. The next day when we were looking to extend our room another night, we were told that we would have to check out for atleast 48hours from between 11/25 -11/27 and then we could check back in. I thought maybe this was due to the fact that we had stayed at least a month. Well, we checked back in on Thanksgiving and were told that we were on a Do not book list, because of our messy room? Nothing was ever said to us and Management never addressed any "issue" and nothing was ever ruined in the room etc. I feel completely hurt that at 9 months pregnant, my family would be put on a do not book list when I've worked in Hospitality my entire life here in Manhattan and feel like this entire situation was handled poorly. My children attend school in the area, and we were looking to stay close enough while we wait on our new home to be ready..and the entire situation left us feeling very uneasy. There are a few front desk ladies there that were amazing, The older blonde woman - is phenomenal but your younger front desk girl in the evening and brunette evening manager were completely unprofessional and lacked knowledge on how customer service/client relations work.
Hoping to hear back from you.
