Motherhood Maternity / Destination Maternity - Fraud
I was asked by the manager, Lauren A. if I was interested in receiving infomation about a college savings program for my soon-to-be child. I said I was, and proceeded to give her my information. I should have thought twice about giving her my SS#, however, I asked her more than once if she was signing me up for a credit card. She replied she was not signing me up for a credit card. However, a receipt printed out, and she shoved it in my bag. When I got home, I noticed that she had fraudulently applied for a credit card for me. I feel violated, and I am very upset that I was lied to by a manager!

I made a purchase at MotherHood Maternity in April of 2010. Today a charge of $20.00 was posted to my account for Parenting Magazine which I did not authorize and am not receiving. I have disputed the charge with my bank but I find that MotherHood Maternity seems to make a habit of putting this charge thru without my knowledge or authorization, .
I know someone who was also signed up for one of these. It was declined, but may have impacted her credit nonetheless. This is no less than corporate-sanctioned identity theft. We have yet to find out if Barclays Bank is complicit in the criminal activity, but that information should be forthcoming within the next three or four months.
Identity Theft and fraud sanctioned by Motherhood Maternity and executed by it's employees.
