Extra Space Storage - Burglary and flooding with rusty water inside unit

⦁ Huge holes between units, in the metal roof, the walls, near the ceiling. Don't need a ladder to climb up and see what's next door. The rain and dirt goes right in. There was about 10" of dirt on everything, and rusty water, which shows negligence on their part because they know it will ruin your belongings. Wasn't like that before. There were huge stains of rusty water inside the floor of my unit in several places. The rust is from the metal braces on the ceiling all around inside and outside the unit. The brick wall inside the unit had evidence of water damage also.
⦁ Looks like they knew about the burglary but covered it up so they could keep charging me even though there was nothing in it, until I found out for myself. Nobody ever notified me. They stalled me for months. They sent me a letter saying they were changing out the doors and locks and that they would mail me the new key. They never mailed it. I called and asked if there was a new key for me and they said no. About 1 week later a guy called and said for me to pick up the new key. I went by twice during working hours and nobody was there. I finally picked up the key on 6/19/21 and discovered I had been robbed. They never answer the phone. Everything is done online, which is why they never gave me a copy of Rental Agreement or Insurance Certificate or the Arbitration Provision.
⦁ They also said they could not look at the video camera footage without knowing when the robbery happened. They video taped it when they replaced our doors and locks to ensure our belongings would be safe. I asked for a copy of the video of when they did my unit and they said no because other units were on the tape also and I can't see what's in their unit. They said they would only give me pictures but I told them that I also wanted pictures of the unit next to me with the big gap because anybody could just throw my stuff over the wall. They said they would but it would take about 3 weeks because it was an outside vendor that changed the locks and they had the video. There is no way for me to tell if it is the unit next to me with just pictures. They can show me whatever they want and will prove nothing.
⦁ The live-in manager moved out so there wasn't anybody there 24/7 as they advertise for who knows how long. A new manager moved in around July 1st and when I asked her about the pictures she told me that there was no way they could provide me pictures. I told her I spoke to a lady named Mo and she was going to get them for me because she checked with the District Manager and he approved it. She called me back and said that it would now take 6 to 8 weeks to get them. She had no clue what was going on or have any knowledge about my robbery.
⦁ They will not give me a copy of the Incident Report that they filled out. Once they enter it into the system, it disappears and they no longer have access to it. That can't possibly be right. Yet, the require a copy of the police report you file.
⦁ When I moved in they never gave me a copy of Rental Agreement or Certificate of Insurance and I believe they said they would mail them to me. I never saw either one, until now that I asked for a copy. They typed in my signature and my initials on both documents. I would have never signed it if I had seen it, because it holds them harmless from everything and I don't agree to their terms. They also advertise falsely that your belongings will be safe with them.
⦁ There is evidence of flooding inside my unit with rusty water. Maybe all my furniture and belongings got ruined from the rusty water and they made it seem like a burglary, so they're not responsible? The insurance that you have to buy through them only pays if it's a forcible entry. It was all covered up by the time I went to my unit, but there is evidence that they could have gotten in several different ways. I finally got the new key after weeks of not being able to enter my unit without the new key. They were the only ones to have access to my unit for months.
⦁ The wall by the door inside my unit had extra metal installed like they reinforced it. The metal part above the door to my unit was also reinforced with extra metal and looks like it was bent back. Mine looks different than the rest of the units. The other units only have one layer of metal and it is all uniform. However, there are huge holes right above the doors. I also found a bunch of screws on the floor inside my unit where they reinforced it and there was also a bunch of screws missing on the metal wall inside my wall. It was done recently because they were there when I was there sweeping out the unit..
⦁ I went again on 7/11/21 and noticed that they reinforced the metal outside and above some of the doors now. Perhaps because that's how they broke in. I also found a big piece of the metal inside where the door locks that was dangling and broke off. I also found a tool on the floor and the metal was bent up where the tool was left. It was not there before either. I have pictures of everything.
⦁ They might have replaced the metal roof and the walls because they look different and are not very thick or very strong. Anybody could bend them back and get in very easily. There was never dirt or water inside the unit until now.
⦁ It had to be an inside job because nobody else had my gate code and only they had my key for who knows how long, they didn't need to do a forcible entry. The employee said it was probably another tenant that stole my things.
⦁ They target senior single women because they are easy targets and don't go to the unit as much. This past year I went even less due to Covid restrictions because I am high risk and thought my things would be safe. I read three other articles about single women in California and Utah that had EXACTLY the same thing happen to them. They mention holes near the ceiling, no camera footage, no forcible entry and thousand of dollars worth of losses. It is a scam throughout the country that they have been getting away with for some time now. https://public-storage.pissedconsumer.com/public-storage-burglary-inside-job-january-6-2018-201801051162831.html
⦁ Extra Space Storage acted in a negligent, illegal, and predatory manner. They knew about the robbery and tried to cover it up. They act like they could care less and have no explanation as to what happened. They just tell you to file a police report and file a claim. They know they will get away with it.
⦁ They auction off your things later or sell them. I have seen 2 or three of my things for sale on Facebook Marketplace. I have been calling the police for over 1 week and there is no answer. I have left 3 messages and nobody has called me back.
⦁ They failed to follow the New Mexico Statutes Chapter 59A, Article 62, which is the Insurance Code for Self Service Storage units. There is a list of things they must do when you first move in and they failed to do every single one of them. In the contract is states that State Law takes precedence over the Rental Agreement and that they operate in accordance with state and local laws.
⦁ The Rental Agreement states that the customer must provide their own lock and not provide a copy to them, yet they make you buy your lock from them. They could have keys to all the locks prior to selling them to the customer.
⦁ They will not pro-rate your bill if you move out early or refund your money. They keep charging you every month even after you have been robbed. They raise the rent at least once per year, sometimes twice per year.
⦁ Almost all of the reviews online are bad reviews from people all over the country about Extra Space Storage. They seem to be taking over all the storage units throughout the country. It's the same story everywhere. There is definitely a pattern they all follow and it is a scam they keep getting away with.
⦁ The Attorney General should be notified and also the Better Business Bureau. They need to be investigated and stopped as soon as possible.

Desired outcome: Pay me for my losses
