I have been a L&T customer for over 30 years and today June 20th I had a very bad experience with a Customer Service Representative at the Lancome counter. After making some purchases I went to the Lancome counter to return or exchange an unused Renergie Gift Set I had purchased. A blond older representative came to assist and after showing her my bill and the product, I explained that I preferred to the Bienfait Multi-Vital moisturizer because it worked better with my skin. In a very condensending and patronizing tone she gave me the pros and cons on both product recommending that I keep the Renergie. I again explained what I wanted and asked for the Bienfait Mult-Vital moisturizer and was prepared to purchase it. She went to the counter and said it was out of stock and they will not have any until July. She continued to use the same rude and snarky tone, in a louder tone and recommended that I use the night cream since it was what she had. I declined because I would not use a night cream in the day. I said if you don't have the product in stock, do you a sample that I can use untilthe product came in. Quite loudly and rudely, she informed me that the samples were for purchased over $50.00. She made this statement deliberately because I saw her exchanging smiles with anothe rep. I was quite shocked at the entire episode. I am an African American woman but regardless of my race no should be talked nor treated in such a disrespectful manner.
