Choice Home Warranty - Warranty coverage

I have had my Choice Home Warranty for the last 3 years. However, my home which I purchased 6 years ago (new) has an AC compressor that has failed. Their contractor said that Choice never replaces anything. They will deny the claim which they did immediately upon the contractor submitting the repairs for approval. The contractor told me I will need to pay $2800 to replace my compressor unit now. There has been no usage that would be considered beyond normal wear and tear. The filters in my home are changed once a month and coils have been cleaned annually. Choice needs to fulfill their obligations under my contract. I have not had air conditioning in a week and they will not return calls or emails. I need a working air conditioner.

Just canceled my contract with them A/C unit Failed I have only been in the house a little over four years, just three summers the unit is repairable at a cost of $1, 800.00 the service company say the leaker in the coil was caused by corrasion they claimed that was not normal ware and tare and refused to pay for the repair. after waiting for a month for them to respond to the repair contractor

Choice Home Warranty - Claim mishandling & no communication

Per Section D, Number 5 - included: All components and parts necessary for the operation of the system. Case Manager claimed Section D, number 5 - excluded: Add on for Zoned Systems. Case Manager, Azfar Ali, inaccurately advised this claim would not be covered based on the above. Based on "included" within section D, number 5, he was incorrect as all components and parts needed for the operation, this in fact is one of those parts. By no means is the zone circuit board an "Add On" based on the above section listed in the policy. Further more Mr. Ali claimed the circuit board is not a covered part, however nowhere in section D, number 5 (excluded), is this part denoted. Me. Ali advises he would have his manager, Luis Molina contact me with 72 hours from 8/17/2020. He has not as of 9/3/2020. I then have contacted customer support (documented), every day since then to have a "claims specialist" advice they have escalated the matter to "management" for them to contact me back with 24 hours. Not one single time has this yielded any resolution, let alone call back. My appeal is open, valid in facts, and should be covered by HCW.

Choice Home Warranty - Termination of contract

I Cornelius Anukam contract number [protected] hereby want to terminate my contract with Choice Home Warranty from this date being August 17, 2020. I am not getting the type of services I need from the company. Please refund me with the amount of money due for me.

Choice Home Warranty - Reimbursement of my claim

Hi,

I created a request for claim for fixing my non-functioning air conditioner. I got an email from choice home warranty that they were not able to find a technician and asked me to find one myself and get it fixed and I will be reimbursed the amount after taking the service call fee of 45$. I got a technician who came to my house on July 7, 2018 and he called the authorization department of choice home warranty. He clearly stated the issue and as per the authorization representatives suggestion the technician filled the refrigerant on the air conditioner. He was asked to send the invoice to choice. After you got the insurance I got an email saying that the amount will not be reimbursed. We are talking about a repair done by the technician as per your authorization department's suggestion. I want to escalate this matter and if I am not getting the reimbursement I will be filing a case against you

My air conditioner stopped working on July 21 Friday. I called Choice to file my first claim. They promised that someone would call me back in 2 days. I called Monday to check status and it had not yet been assigned. Called Tuesday, the status remained the same. My status calls would get routed to Sales and the people there are the rudest employees I've encountered. They would yell at me that they cant help me and have to be sent back to claims. Its a circle each time. So disorganized. Worst customer service. On Wednesday, I called to cancel our policy. I was routed to the Resolution Group (spoke to Wendy). She told me I could get my own technician and they will reimburse the repair, and if it had to be replaced, Choice would reimburse me up to $3000 for the new unit.

We found someone who came the same day. It could not be replaced so they installed a new unit.

I am now trying to get reimbursement but the website for claims CHWCLAIMS.COM does not open, I tried several days. When I call the resolution number directly, it is routed to the main messaging number or leave my 10-digit number. And I have to ask for the resolution department again. Today July 31 I am told to sign on to main website. But there is no resolution icon. I cant get through via phone, and cant get through via website. Person told me to upload and send. How about the verbiage of what I'm uploading, where do I send my info. Your company is a mess.

I also have been having big issues with Choice myself. I also am going through the reimbursement process.

If I do not get the results promised I will have to go to consumer affairs. Now it was already addressed my heater would be repaired.
