I had been using your Camdenton Mo facility for several years for cleanings, etc. I have always had GEHA Dental insurance. They cover 2 cleanings per year (3 now). I starting receiving invoices in the mail for over $300 after several of my visits. I called the office and explained that those services are covered at 100%. They said they would re-submit the claims. As time went on and I never heard back from the office, and received no updated EOB's, I contacted them again. The same person was no longer working there so I had to reiterate the story to a new person. She promised she would resubmit the claims again. Again, after receiving another invoice for $316.60 I called the office. She said to ignore the invoice and she would again resubmit the claims. The invoices continued to come and I called several times, each time being told that they would personally contact GEHA to get it straightened out. I finally was in contact with a girl named Heidi who assured me she would get to the bottom of it. After dealing with this for many more months I contacted GEHA myself to inquire about the issue. I was told that Affordable Dental had gone out of network with them some time ago. That was news to me because at no time did ANYONE at that office notify me of that. Obviously, had I known I would have switched dentists immediately. Not only is this unprofessional to not notify a patient that you have gone out of network with their insurance, it is also a sloppy and lazy representation of your organization. I do not feel that I should have to pay for services that would have been covered if not for the incompetence of the office staff.
Desired outcome: Disregard the invoice for $316.60
