On April 22, 2005 my aunt, Alva Taylor opened an account in my and her name and hers and told me when she died to come to the bank and obtain the money. I never returned to the bank until she passed away December 21, 2011. At that time I was told my name had been removed from the account. Through extensive research I found my aunt who was 90 years old who was wearing bilateral hearing aids and was blind in one eye and having difficulty seeing in the other had been taken to the bank by a long time friend on 7/14/09. She had been portraying herself as her adopted daughter and had her name added to the account and my name removed .
I contacted Citizens Bank on numerous occasions regarding this matter and was told my name was not associated with any of her accounts. I sent Brian Smith, Consumer Protection at Citizens Bank all the information I had regarding the matter. He called me stating that my aunt had signed the papers. He didn't state there would be any investigation regarding what had transpired . My aunt went to the bank and transferred money from the account which was in my name into a Money Market account on 10/21/09 my aunt transferred the account which was in my name into a Money Market Account, Shirley Clark, the perpetrator withdrew the money the same day the money was deposited.
