ONGOING: Every time myself or my mom refills prescriptions

About a month ago, my mom called in a prescription (I believe her high blood pressures meds). She called it in on a Monday morning, she called the pharmacy to confirm they had it. She was told it would be ready that evening. She sent her grand-daughter to pick it up and it wasn't ready. The next day, I went to pick it up and it wasn't ready. I couldn't waiting because I had an appointment. I figured I would be able to simply pick it up. My son went on Friday, and the prescription still wasn't ready, but he waited for it. My concern is, what if she would have called the prescription in when she didn't have any more medicine, it could have been detrimental to her and her family.

Last week, I was extremely sick (upper respiratory issues), my doctor submitted the prescription in around 11:30 AM. Because of the ongoing issues, I decided to go home and get some rest and pick up my prescription around 6 PM. When I got to the pharmacy, of course it was not ready, I had to sit and wait for about 20 minutes for the prescription. My Dr. called in a prescription today, and I am not confident that it will be ready this evening. The purpose of ordering meds in advance is so you don't have to sit and wait for it. I am not sure if you are short staffed or the pharmacists are burned-out, but Giants needs to do better. My mom (90 yrs old) has been a patrons of that store for over 45 years and she says this is the worse she's ever experienced

Desired outcome: I would like for all called in prescriptions to be filled in at least 2 hours, but prescriptions call in by a Dr. should be filled right away because most people will leave the doctors office and come straight to the pharmacy. Thanks

Giant Food / Giant of Maryland - Covid-19

On November 6, 2021, my two children received their first COVID vaccine at Giant Pharmacy #108, 6340-50 York Rd, Baltimore, MD 21212. They were given vaccination cards with the date of their second appointments, Monday, November 29, 2021. Without any other notification I just (11/10/21) received emails that their appointments had been cancelled. I called the pharmacy immediately. It took me over half an hour to get a person on the phone, as it just rang and rang until eventually it cut the line. Once I did get ahold of someone, she was so incredibly rude it blew my mind. She said all the doses on that Monday were reserved for children who got their shots AFTER mine so she just cancelled the appointments (the appointments SHE made for us on and wrote on their cards 11/6/21). She said she will try to find cancellations on other days, pushing them further back from their second doses and pushing CDC guidelines. She told me I should go check the guidelines. She said we could only have an appointment Saturday, November 27, when she knows we will be out of state (which we made very clear to her at the initial shot appointment). She said repeatedly "well I can only schedule it for that date" in a very nasty manner and knowing we wouldn't be available. She said she would try for Tuesday or Wednesday, but I said I have work and the girls have school. Her snarky response? "EVERYONE has work and EVERYONE has school and they still come. I can't just make an appointment when it's convenient for you." WHAT?! I told her these are my children's lives, to which she again nastily responded "They're not going to die." There is no way to guarantee an appointment will open Tuesday or Wednesday, and this risks going beyond the time the girls need to receive their second shot. She said I just have to wait to see and until she calls me. I was nearly in tears and beyond irate, and she said "ma'am we're going in circles, can we end this phone call?" This is absolutely, unequivocally unacceptable.

Desired outcome: I want my two children to get their shots when they were scheduled or the ability to schedule the second shots at a time when the girls and I are available within the limit.
