I had a 2005 hyundai accent towed in to the dealership service dept. When I phoned to find out what's wrong with my car the reply was "it needs a motor & we're gonna give you $500 for it". I told them its not for sale it's here for repair. I am the original owner the car has 10 yr./100k mi. Warranty that the dealer is not going to honor. Hyundai america talks out of both sides of there mouth. They are no help. I have found several complaints on this dealership & I feel they are running a scam by trying to tell people there cars are ruined. What dealership says "you need a new motor we're gonna give you $500" as soon as you call then later denies it. The service manager is a true con artiste expert. I am going to an attorney for help & reported them to law enforcement agencies for investigation.
I have a 2008 accent and I heard the exact same thing "needs a new motor" will give you 500$ trade in value. The warranty isn't going to cover anything at all! And I was sold the 1500$ EXTENDED warranty that expired last year! The service manager was the rudest person I have encountered in a very long time and when I told him so he told me to find the phone numbers I needed myself and hung up on me!
