Cinemark - the new seating arrangements

Today my daughter and I went to the Paducah Ky theater and was a little upset over this new seating arrangement. The guy that took my free ticket voucher asked what seat I wanted. I told him I did not know! He just punched in two different seats and handed me my tickets. My daughter and I went into the theater and went and picked out two seats. Just before the movie started a group of people came in and told us we were in their seats. My daughter and I moved as no one at the ticket booth or the ticket taker said anything about being assigned a seat now. We just went and sat in two other empty seats. We were a little surprised to see other people being asked to moved and this was no way to enjoy a movie. It was completely ruined. I was aggravated with having to move and then having a group of people sit almost on top of me as they had the row we sat down in, so we moved again. IF you are going to have this kind of seating arrangement that you have to register the seat you want to sit in, when you don't even know how the seats are arranged, or how they are numbered, you have really goofed. I for one will not be going back to the theater. If I have to register a seat and hope that I pick out what I would like, or where I want to sit, it will be better to stay home and watch TV or wait until the movie I want to see comes out on DVD. This is not the kind of service I want at a movie theater, so like I said I will just not go to the theater any more. I will give my daughter my gift card and if she wants to use it fine, but you have lost a customer for this crazy seating arrangement, especially when no one says a word about how it works, not in the theater or on your web site. This is a very stupid way to run a movie theater and ruin it for the customers you need to stay in business.

Many movie theaters are doing this. Actually, I kind of like it. You can assure you are being seated where you would like and not show up overly early to ensure a good seat.
