Lowe's - wrongfully terminated

I am a formal employee with Lowes. I worked for the Installation Support Office and had been there for 9 months. Coming up on my 6th month there we had gotten a new lady on our team that was promoted from another department and she was placed right next to me. Thought we had a good relationship but I found out the hard way. Never been the type of person that had racial conflict with anyone in my life until I worked for this DIVERSE company. It was on a Saturday so the office was quit not very many people there on the weekend and my team had a contest going on for the week to see who can get the most survey's and I just kept rolling them in from the time I clocked in that morning. I made a comment that I wish I had a little basketball court on my desk I would dunk everytime I get a survey and the lady that sit next to me replied "Awww little MONKEY so happy". I am African American and yes I got very offended due to this was the second time she had made that comment to me. I looked at her without saying anything for about 15/20 seconds and I continued to work our shift was over in about 2 hours and I made a mental note to talk to her. I waited for her to come down stairs once our shift was over and I advised her that I did not appreciate what she stated and that I took that to offense she stated "I was just being my joking self" I advised I did not play that way. I walked away. I was scheduled off for the next couple of days but made another mental note that I would discuss this matter with my supervisor upon my return which would allow me to go over company policy to make sure policy was followed on my part. Immmediately when I returned to work I updated my supervisor and she advised she would talk to her.(NOT COMPANY POLICY MATTER SHOULD HAVE BEEN IMMEDIATELY REPORTED TO HUMAN RESOURCES) Once the other employee came in my supervisor talked to her in a conference room, they came out joking and laughing. The entire team was stunned. I waited 4 more days to see if I would receive notification email or phone call from Human Resources and did not. So I contacted HR just to find out issue was never reported and for a matter like discrimination it should have immediately been reported by my supervisor. (THEY BOTH DID NOT FOLLOW COMPANY POLICY) I filed my case and just when it was to go up for review this week I was terminated without any warning she advised it was due to my attendance. 2 weeks prior to my termination my Mentally Ill daughter tried to commit suicide and she was aware of it I had to have 3 days off due to this to be with my daughter and grandkids. Did not have a serious attendance issue I only have 5 points. I was wrongly terminated due to I filed a discrimination case against someone and I am taking legal action as we speak.
