In September I dropped off a request form for a donation which was coming up at the end of October.I waited for a few weeks before contacting the person who handled the donations. She informed me that she just finished up September donations and would be starting on October donations. She made sure she had my phone number so she could contact me when the donation was ready.A few weeks went by and no call from her. I tried to contact her a few times and ended up leaving messages.Finally got a hold of her and she said she would get something for the benefit.I let her know that I would be in town on that Sunday if it was possible for me to pick it up. She stated she would call me when it was ready.I never received a call but since I was in town I stopped in to see if anything was there for me.At first they could not find anything but then found something that had my name on it.With any benefit everything is appreciated but this donation was not what I expected for having to wait for so long.It was a wreath and a wreath holder.I myself have worked in retail for 23 years and have dealt with donations.The store I worked for is in a small town and our donations have been much better. I guess I figured that since Home Depot is a bigger store name nation wide something else would of been considered as a donation.In this store there is only one person to handle all donations and if I would of not kept up on keeping in contact with the store I do not believe a donation would been given.Just a little disappointed in your store.
