On 12/2/19, I got a text message saying my "Rx is waiting for pickup" but no option to pay ahead of time like I did with my November prescription.
I called Walgreens to ask why I couldn't pay, and they said that it was only an option given out to random customers sometimes! How ridiculous.
Not only that; my refill wasn't ready! It was 10am in the morning when I called, and they said they would call when it was ready. They didn't. I waited for 4 days and finally went in at 7pm. They said they needed another 30 minutes! So I had to wait in my car.
Refill cost $30.00 that time.
Today, I got a text that my refill was ready but they were charging my DOUBLE at $60.00! I called my insurance company who had to put me on hold for about 20 minutes because Walgreens wasn't answering their call. They finally admitted it was a mistake and should be $30.00.
That was enough and I just called Safeway 20 minutes ago to get my prescription transferred to them. Now Safeway can't get anyone over there to help them transfer my prescription either! Such ridiculous customer service; hopefully my doctor can get a new Rx over to Safeway because there is no WAY I'm stepping foot into Walgreens again. Which is a shame because their cashiers are nice... just the pharmacy program seems to be a fail.
