Kroger - damage to my vehicle

I went to one of my local Kroger’s a few weeks ago on a Sunday to do some shopping with my kids. While we were shopping it started to pour down rain. I had my kids wait with the cart while I went to get my car in the pouring rain. When I got to my car there was a shopping cart sitting in the middle of a large dent on my back qtr panel. I filed a complaint with Kroger and of course they say they cannot control what people do and it was not their employees. I say the cart belongs to them and they could do some things to assure this does not happen. Like having the baggers take the carts out or put some bumpers on the carts. There is a lot of damage to my car. I am NOT happy. I will pursue thru legal council.

This is why people should ALWAYS return the carts instead of just leaving them in a parking space!

...and you probably never thought of shopping cart bumpers until your own car was damaged. Surely, you can't expect Kroger to pay for everything out of its control.

Their employees cannot be held responsible to watch EVERY shopper to ensure that they don't just fling their carts in the parking lot. And as for having the baggers take the carts out, who do you think would bag the next order while that bagger is out with the carts? Pursue THROUGH (not THRU) legal counsel but I doubt you'll get anywhere.
