Circle K

I was trying to resolve this complaint with Shell Oil only to find out that Circle K now owns the station I was double charged at which is 3903 Arkwright Road, Macon, GA 31210. Here is the complaint filed with Bank of America (BOA) which is where my AAA Visa card charges go through:

My husband and I were on our way to Florida on 01/29/21 and stopped briefly at a Shell station in Macon, GA to fill up our pickup truck with gas. We had difficulty with the pump taking our credit card (a Visa card with AAA) and so I went into the store to pay in cash. On my way back to the truck, my husband said the credit card finally took and so I went back into the store to get my money back. The lady in the store told me that the credit card transaction did NOT go through. I asked for a receipt and the lady in the store said she could not give me one. My husband said the terminal at the pump did not give us a receipt either, so I wrote down the date (01/29/21), number of gallons (30.272) and the amount ($66.57 which computes to $2.199/gallon).

When we received our credit card statement for January 23 - February 22, 2021 time period, there was the $66.57 Shell Oil credit card charged on there for 01/29/21. Since we had also paid in cash, we filed a dispute with Bank of America (BOA), AAA Visa and stated what had happened. BOA asked for documentation and I sent it and included the handwritten "receipt" for $66.57. They asked for documentation again and I sent the handwritten receipt again thinking they had overlooked it the first time. We also sent an Excel sheet showing our total gas purchases for the trip with the date, gallons and amount since we had logged all our expenses for the trip. We showed on the Excel sheet that the gallons used on the trip showed mileage of 12.2 miles/gallon (normal gas usage for the truck) with the 30.272 gallons recorded once (paid in cash) and 10.88 miles/gallon gas usage (NOT normal usage) with the 30.272 gallons recorded twice (once for the cash payment and again for the credit card charge we are disputing).
