Family Dollar

Today November 2 around 12pm I had went to the family dollar slash dollar tree as me and my boyfriend needed to get some basket stuffers for his moms gift and so we’re in the store and we’re comparing two colors of the stuffing to my boyfriends dad which is on the phone with us so we could decide which one would work best the basket he had made and while he’s on the phone. I’m looking at the gift bags and deciding on which one is the best for gifts I had planned on giving coming up and I picked one up and it accidentally it another bag causing two bags to fall down. I quickly picked up the bags that fell back where they went and noticed if you pulled one bag more would fall so I just put everything back and then the worker comes over is like “ do y’all need help “ and I’m just like oh no we’re okay thank you just accidentally dropped a bag. Then he comes over and is like “ it seems like y’all need help” and at this point me and my boyfriend are like oh no we’re okay thank you and he stands there and is like well I just cleaned up this area and your making a mess why is that out (pointing to the basket filler we’re looking at currently) and went that wasn’t out when I cleaned and were like oh we’re looking at it right now and he goes “well then why is that out “ pointing to a spot that looks like someone picked some out of (another costumer) and at this point I’m confused and thought he was just joking so I laugh uncomfortable and say oh I can put that back if anything and he says “well I’m going to stand here until you put it back “and I’m like umm and he starts going “what do you even need that for” and I’m like I really don’t have to tell him but my boyfriend goes “ we need I for my dad gift” and the worker goes “ well you need to buy something if your in here “ and I’m like “ we are but we’re just looking right now” and he starts going back and forth with me until I clean up the other costumer mess and then walked away to my boyfriend for the last thing we needed. He then left to finally do his job and check out the person waiting for his at the checkout. Idk why he even did that and he was way out of line.

I try to look at it as maybe a bad day but from what I’ve heard from my boyfriends family and mine that worker acts like that every time someone goes in there. I understand not waiting the area you just cleaned messed up but that’s no reason to come at someone like that who accidentally dropped a bag then picked it up.
