Rosati's

On November 3, 2019, we called in a pickup order from Rosati's Pizza in Cummings Georgia and when my boyfriend went inside to get our food the cook and the person behind the checkout counter displayed White Power hand gestures to one another. The gesture was like the upside-down OK. This bothered my boyfriend because you see we are an interracial couple and for them to do that was very alarming and knowing these people were preparing our food was worse. My boyfriend spoke with the manager who stated that the two workers did this all the time and said it was a game they played, and it was brushed off as nothing but to me being a Black female this was highly offensive whether it was a game or not and us being an interracial couple only adds more insult to injury! I am pissed, I am hurt and disgusted by this. I am thinking about going to the news station because I do not know if my food has been tampered with by people with hate and disdain for me because if my skin! Especially being in the food industry. This is completely unacceptable and I will not be quiet about this. It has been happening all over this country at restaurant establishments and I won't tolerate it when I spend my money. My money spends like white money and I demand respect and I should trust people who cook my food just like I should trust a doctor with my health. After eating a few slices I developed a terrible stomach ache causing diarrhea, my boyfriend, on the other hand, has not felt sick. I can only imagine what they do to blacks who dine in. Totally unacceptable, to do that whether you chalk it off as a game or otherwise. They did it so blatantly my boyfriend even asked them if that was some sort of gang sign? I told him exactly what that sign symbolized and to me it's hate to the highest degree. My grandmother's father was shot and killed in front of them on Christmas Eve after taking them into town to buy gifts at the drugstore. A white woman said he looked at her! Never in my lifetime did I think I would live in a world where this is coming back full circle! I want a resolution.
