On 5/30/2021, I brought my puppy "Piper" to be seen due to limping in right back leg. Findings: Area: Musculoskeletal Finding: Lameness or pain
Recommendation: Thorough orthopedic and neurological exam. Your veterinarian will discuss additional tests, such as radiographs, based
on the condition being experienced by your pet. Doctor gave Rimadyl and Proviable Forte Sprinkle Capsule, and told to monitor her and let them know if she continued to have problems. I brought her back multiple times.. The last time was on 5/30/21 I asked them to check her ears again (do a swab test) and check her right rear leg for limping. They said it would be a while and would call me when she was ready (takes a while for the swab to dry?) they literally called me 10 minutes later to tell me all is good. No problems with her walking and ears clean. Long story short.. I didn't believe them (again) and took her to another Veternarian clinic within a few days of the Banfield visit. They advised that it seems to be a Luxating Patela issue... They gave meds and after the new year, we took her back to the "other clinic" for x-rays, then sent to an Orthopedic doctor for knee surgery. All this time my puppy was limping and in pain with no help from Banfield that I paid over $60 month for wellness plan. I paid and didn't renew the plan and canceled the two plans I had for my cats.
Desired outcome: Something to warn people of what's going on and possible monitary compensation to help with the $4k knee surgery and x-rays.
