The $100 deposit fee was not removed from my bill to USAA Visa. I was billed $183.33 instead of $83.33. The first our server in here no more microwave or refrigerator. The front desk told me my rate didn’t include that. Additionally the floors, sheets stained and room smelled like floor mopped with really toxic chemical and my eyes were watering. The second room wall electrical outlets loose, non working wall light switches, and water seeping through floor in bathroom. Breakfast children’s cereals and tiny muffins.
Claimed loss: $100 non refunded deposit.
Desired outcome: Send credit to USAA for $100 deposit and consider refund of all charges. Audit this hotel. Large pot holes in driveways. Mats 20 years old. No place eat. We have pets love La Quinta. Worst hotel experience. I’m 78.
La Quinta Inns & Suites - hotel
Reservations made from UK before travel. Drove from Ocala to Tallahassee, where we had a reservation for 1 night. When we arrived at the hotel in Tallahassee we were so disgusted with the state of disrepair of the outside, we decided not to check in. Looks like it's ready to be demolished! Decided to drive on to Pensacola, where we had a reservation for the following night to see if we could stay 2 nights. Paid $140 for the first nights stay (2nd night already pre-paid when booked). Big mistake, carpet filthy, light switch loose and not working, bathroom grubby - bed linens & towels fine. Out all day the following day from 9.30am to 4.45pm the room hadn't been serviced while we were out! Requested fresh towels and said I'd sort it myself. These rooms are a health hazard and the hotel should not be allowed to accept paying guests until they pass stringent health standards.
