On Tuesday Sept. 8, 2020 I went to my local UPS store in Port ST. Lucie FL. (#5525). Purpose of my visit was to ship a Document to a European country MALTA.
There were two Latin ladies working there That were ether very stupid or Pro con artist.
The store had about 2 or 3 other costumers & for some reason they did not pay too much attention to my very presence there.
When I inquired about shipping charges they never answered me. The young lady that was supposed to help me kept asking the other lady (Manager I Think) for advice for every question I asked. At that instant they started to mumble to each other in a very low voice, I believe they were speaking Spanish. They acted as If I as being very annoying for asking a simple question about their rates.
Anyway I proceeded to advise them that I was not in any great hurry for the package to arrive at intended destination. Even after all this time wasted bickering with these idiots. I gave them my CC to process payment. Still nothing about the rates.
I am a 70 year old Senior Citizen and I do not have time to deal with their nonsense. They wind up giving me some kind of receipt highlighting all their stipulations. I left the store in total frustration. When I arrived home there was no rate indication on their so called "receipt".
Yesterday Sept14th. I received my CC statement & noticed a charge of $152.00 by UPS. Needless to say I was shocked!
I went back to the store to ask if this was a mistake or a true charge? When I showed her (Ariana Garcia) my statement she acted surprised as well. She then proceeded to look up the transaction on her computer. After about 3 or 4 minuets of waiting, she pulled out a piece of paper & snickering and stated that was the charge.
I told her that their ways of doing business were deceiving. She just kind of laughed at me as if to say " Too bad sucker!
Needless to say: This is not over. I intend to get my money back! I am filing a law suit for fraud & deceitful practices by this office. Again, office # 5525.
Sincerely,
Michael Micallef
