I left my job during break to use my EBT card for purchase. My card would not work swiping in the machine so I asked the associate if she could manually input my number since I was on my break from Department of Children and Family services. She told me no she could not do that. I said that is remotely impossible I work for DCF and it could be done. So I asked for supervisor for assistance. The Supervisor Indira Manon walked up and she and associate conversed in Spanish and she then looked at me and shook her head. I asked what she was shaking her head for and she said I can't so nothing. I stated I worked for DCF and there is a way to manually input my card information and she told me no. I then stated you can even call and get verbal authorization over the phone and she said no. I said so you are not going to assist me. This is actually the second time this has happened to me but I paid cash the first time because I never have a problem with my card anywhere. Neither the associate or the Assistant supervisor assisted me or even tried to attempt. I was told "no" as though they were speaking to one of their adolescent children and I am 43 years old and it was extremely frustrating and upsetting.
