I was charged $0.30 for extra pickles (appeared on bill as "HEAVY Pickles") and $1.80 for extra mustard ("HEAVY Bacon Jam" on bill) for 2 hamburgers. The manager said that the "HEAVY Bacon Jam" was the code for extra mustard. The additional charge represents an increase of 66%. The manager tried to explain the charge was due to the cost of the additional condiments. The added mustard was the equivalent of about a teaspoon, which means I paid the equivalent of $86.40 for 8 oz of mustard. No rebate for my request to skip the ketchup, however. The manager eventually relented and returned the $1.80 surcharge (in nickels to be spiteful) but not the $0.30. I first ate at a Burger King in 1963 (theme song: "Therre's a Burger King close to you. Try a whopper, order too..." The chances that I'll return to store 6872 are zero, the chance that I'll visit any other Burger King are about the same. Jim McLamore must be turning in his grave.
