I visited the Valero location at the corner of Wickham and Sarno road in Melbourne Florida. The location does not have the proper hose for diesel fuel and there was no cut-off switch. I spilled maybe two gallons of diesel, ruined a pair of expensive shoes. Complained to the owner, we got involved in a heated argument. Anyway, I have always made it a point to buy my diesel at Valero. I own a diesel car (VW TDI) and a International car hauler.
I had to take the car to a car wash ($38.00) to get the diesel fuel off my car; the shoes I cleaned up myself (two hours).
The "owner" was making threatening remarks and I was worried about my personal safety; I was opening my gloevebox to retrieve my pistol. Figuring this rude man wasn't worth a bullet, I drove off.
I am bringing the lack of a safety issue to your attention. Wasted 2 gallons of diesel. As to the "owner", we were both guilty of language not befitting gentlemen. If I do not hear back, I intend to open a administrative complaint with the Florida Department of Agriculture; I believe his pumps have not had a recent inspection.

Desired outcome: I would like a credit for the car wash ($38.00), the shoes are on me. Be aware that the diesel pump isn't the proper size for dispensing diesel. I am still going to file a complaint with the State of Florida.
