Last evening my husband and I were told that they had a "PARTY" and they were short of staff and to be patient. The table across from us came in 10 minutes later with a family of 6 and immediately began to have wonderful service. We had to stop numerous waiters to ask for water and bread. The reason we were given for the SUBSTANDARD SERVICE as oppose to the PREMIER SERVICE that the so called "PARTY" of 6 white people were given was because they were "REGULARS". I looked over at them and they looked like regular white people alright but no celebrities, officials or anything of that nature. So now I'm a little heated around the collar because the situation isn't looking good.
My husband and I are black and we initially heard them talking about no one wanted to take our table because we were in the last booth near the kitchen. I thought nothing of it until things became obviously clear that we had no waiter and the table with the party of 6 were being well taken care of by 2 waiters because they were "REGULARS".
I was then offered a box to take my food home to eat because we said that we were leaving. I felt then that I was being shewed away because they threw the meals in a bag with no bread, salad or anything. Blatantly discriminatory and the waitress didn't mind repeating what she said to us to the manager. Maybe they were thinking we were only tipping them $2 as to why they didn't want our table but we always tip more than 20% wherever we go but our money was no good this night and these people are clearly racist.
Desired outcome: Y’all tell me because Idk. It has aggravated my condition (PTSD) and it took everything in me to get my nerves under control after I returned home.
