We stopped at the clearwater fl location with our service animal. We travel extensively and have always put our dog in a carrier on the seat (first because he alerts on sugar levels and secondly floors in restaurants are not always cleans). We have never been reprimanded until today. Manager craig told us he could not bark (which he did three times) and he had to be on the floor. We were at a corner booth with loud music by the bar. I doubt anyone heard him. I was trying to quiet him when craig came back and said we had to leave. We have been longhorn customers for years and have never encountered this treatment. I think someone needs to relay all ada rules. My dog needs to be close to smell my breath. I will admit he did bark several time (3 x)
With craig at our table within 2 seconds and back again twice more with a minutes time. We will be disappointed if we can not go into longhorn but actions like this are inexcusable.
