Theresa C is the director of offense in the latest display of overt racial profiling on 3/27/21, previous display on 3/24/21 same store, different managers.
Everytime I am in the store and she is there, she make it her point to have me followed and she herself has done so acting as she was looking else, she a terrible actress in that regard. Most of the front store employees react to me with disdain, like she has them trained to make me feel unwanted and uncomfortable while I am shopping. In the store I have felt hostility in the stare of some of them, the darting of eyes as to seek approval from someone somewhere I can't see. I can imaging what it would be like some where else in the community.
I surmise that the meeting of managers contain language that denote African descent person, males as worthy of disdain and distrust.
As I enter the store(s) I am suddenly the focal point of the front store staff that is lingering about to surveilling the area for all of the reasons one can be there as an employee for.
Theresa C. yelled out "Door" today, as to announce that I must be observed throughout my time in the aisles, staff racing through the store and managers trailing me and my wife.
I am a dark male of African descent, gray hair and I must be what the store chain policy as a high probable theft. I have similar experience, without the sounding of the alarm, in the Berlin, CT store.
I have spent thousands of dollars for years in Stop and Shop and never once walked out of the store with items unpaid for. I found a woman's hand wallet in the snowy parking lot this winter and give it to the service desk, all content intact.
Every time I or another African descent male is a target of the policy
it promotes racist view, not only affect the mindset of employees while at work, it is carried on to the employee's personal life .
Stop and Shop promotes racism.
Desired outcome: Evil is in the blood line hate is in the heart the mind will produce the work. Move Theresa to a store where people not looking like her spend money. She is not alone as managers of Stop and Shop, it systemic.
Stop & Shop - cashing lottery tickets
Sat., 20, 2020 10:40am to 10:00am -Cashing 3 lottery tickets. Spanish customer service lady 50 to 55 years old with glasses. Used Scanner 3 lottery tickets one for 4 dollars, 2 dollars, 2 dollars = 8 Dollars. Handed the tickets to the Spanish woman behind the counter. She scans the tickets. I ask how much. She saids 6 dollars. I'm shocked. I ask for the 4 dollar ticket back. She hands the ticket back to me. I try to rescan the ticket, she says It won't rescan -I understood that. I left it at that. Next time I'm going to write the winning amount on the ticket. If the cashier says wrong amount going to ask for manager and/or call lottery agency.
