Subway - Free cookie on tuesdays

My husband and I, we've been going to this same Subway for years (1208 E Yorba Linda Blvd, Placentia, CA 92870). When we happened to come on a Tuesday, for 2 sandwiches, sometimes a foot-long plus a 6-inch, or other times 2 foot-longs, we ALWAYS get 2 free cookies.

Today the staff said only one cookie per transaction. Gee... so even if you buy 10 sandwiches, you get only 1 free cookie?

Desired outcome: 1 free cookie per sandwich, doesn't matter 6-inch or foot-long. 6-inch price is not 1/2 of foot-long anyways.
