When George asked what I wanted for my haircut, I said maybe a half inch all around, some thinning, and shorter in the back because my neck hair was getting long. I had to make sure that he would stop parting my hair when cutting it and he had a sort of tense attitude throughout.
When I saw what George thought was the finished product, it wasn't as short as I needed. That and he hadn't actually shortened the back-neck hair like I originally asked. It had only been five minutes and I just wanted to shorten it a bit more.
George kept saying that he wasn't going to do "three haircuts in one" even though this would only be the second "in one". I have never had a FS employee refuse to trim the hair more just because they thought of it as an additional haircut. The haircut is finished when I say I am satisfied. I didn't get it shampooed, I didn't add product. I just wanted it shorter.
He kept being snippy about it so I said we were done and left after paying. I shouldn't have paid for barely anything done. I don't appreciate someone I'm paying money to for a simple haircut telling me he won't do something that is in no way outside of the rules. I KNOW it is standard to make alterations. I wasn't being difficult. I wasn't being rude.
I will be wanting that money back, but I doubt I'll be getting my hair done by George again.
